Materials
The primary materials in our products are PVC and Aluminum. We utilized a rigid vinyl (PVC) and a flexible vinyl (PVC) our products are in compliance with the highest industry standards (UL) and the American Disabilities Act. (ADA) Our PVC parts are designed to be attractive, durable with great impact resistant. The parts are hygienic and pleasant to the touch.
Extruded aluminum retainer imparts structural strength. They are manufactured from an aluminum alloy specially formulated for this purpose.
End caps, corners, corners adaptors, and end stops are molded from ABS or polypropylene compound to provide durable and impact resistance. The aluminum alloy used has a tensile strength of 29,000 psi, a yield strength of 25, 000 psi.
PVC and ABS Fire Resistance
The PVC material meets the UL standard 94VO. The products have been tested for surface burning characteristics by underwriters Laboratories, Inc. The Standard UL 723 “Tests for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials is used by underwriters Laboratories Inc. to investigate specific building materials and developed Flame S and Smoke ratings. This test standard is widely recognized and specified in the major building codes of the United States and Canada... It is approved by the American National Standard Institute as Standard (A2...5), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTME E-84 and the Nation Fire Protection Association (NPFA 255.). The vinyl products has a CCI classification, as tested in accordance with the procedures specified in ASTM 0-625, Standard Test method for rate of Burning and /or Extent and time of Burning of Self-Supporting Plastics in a horizontal position as referenced in UBO 52-4-1988.
PVC Properties
Tensile Yield of the rigid vinyl is 6100 psi and of the ABS of 5400 psi as tested in accordance with the procedures specified in ASTM D-638.
Chemical and Stain Resistance: Our rigid vinyl and ABS has shown resistance to stain when tested in accordance with applicable provisions of ASTM D-543
Fungal and Bacterial Resistance : Test in accordance with ASTM G-21 and ASTM G-21 show our rigid vinyl does not support fungal or bacterial growth.
Abrasion Resistance: Our extruded PVC material is highly resistance to abrasion. Lightly soiled material can be cleaned with a mild rubbing action using detergent mixed with water.
